Morning after pill support!

Hello,

I took the morning after pill two days before my official ovulation day.

I understand this is in my fertile window, would the morning after pill have worked by delaying ovulation in this time or at two days before the ovulation day, would the process of ovulation had begun?

You should have asked the medical professional prescribing it as you may have been better off with having an emergency coil fitted.

I don’t know when I ovulated when I had to take the MAP but it was my fertile window, and I got pregnant.

The pharmacist said it would definitely work but after a bit of research and when I realised I was two days before ovulation I thought again. I’ve taken ovulation tests for the last 7 days since the MAP and there’s been no peak to show ovulation has been delayed and egg is now being released later. But TMI but I’ve got thick white discharge and lower abdo/back ache. I remember having this CM when I conceived my two children.

Just thinking it delays ovulation apparently by 5ish days so surely by now my body would be preparing to release an egg but there’s no signs of this at all!

The pharmacist can’t guarantee that, MAP isn’t 100% effective.

@millyskye3 hi I’m just wondering if this worked for you ?? As I’m in the same boat .. I seem to think my ovulation said 29th of November to the 5th of December and I had unprotected sex on the 2nd and the pharmacist did tell me it would work I’m so confused now iv been googling and I really don’t want children .. (as for anyone coming with negative comments there’s a reason why I don’t want another child) .. but any help would be apreciated x

Hello, no it didn’t work but in our case we are happy to be pregnant with our third. We would have eventually tried for number three but didn’t think now was the time. However this little one had other plans so we are very happy. I must have ovulated earlier than thought by which point the MAP wouldn’t have delayed it. Hopefully you end up getting the result you’d like. Take care x
