Bleeding after sex

Hi, I know no one can give me the answer but I’m freaking out so just hoping for some positive experiences if anyone has had the same.

It’s been a while since me and my husband had sex, my toddler is usually in our bed 😩
I had my period last week but it’s been a few days since it ended and I’ve had no bleeding or spotting since. We had sex today nothing particular rigorous and I’ve had quite bad bleeding with like stringy bits.
I was diagnosed with adenomyosis recently after a scan as I’ve had heavy periods and pain but I’m waiting to see the gynaecologist.

I’ve not bled after sex like this before 😢

Definitely worth getting checked out as it can in rare cases be linked to various cancers - I stress rarely but can be the only early symptom so worth being sure. I’ve had it twice over about 10 years. Both times it happened a few times over a period of months. The GP was great, I had bloods, checked smear up to date and referred for cervical ultrasound. Confirmed nothing serious, diagnosed as a cervix ectropion (which isn’t linked to cancer).

Wish I could give you a happy ending but I’ve got this too and it’s ruined my sex life and there doesn’t appear to be many treatments available either 😖
