Irritation & soreness after UTI

I haven’t had a UTI for about 8 years and I’ve not had one since I’ve had children. Over the weekend I started with a UTI and started antibiotics on Monday. I had to take 2 capsules a day for 3 days so had finished the course by Wednesday night. It’s now 2 days later and although the UTI seems to have cleared up (no constant urgency to wee or burning/pain) I’m still really uncomfortable down below. I don’t have any signs of anything else I don’t think as I’m not getting discharge or itching or anything like that but the area around my urethra/clitoris is so sore and irritated. Will this just go or do I need to get some over the counter cream or something? After having my second child I think my clitoris was slightly damaged after giving birth. It was tender and sore for a very long time and probably took a while year or so to fully heal so I’m wondering if this could be why it’s still feeling sore and irritated & might take a little longer to heal? Just wondered if anyone has had the same or any advice? Thanks

After antibiotics I usually get thrush which for me just feels sore, I don’t get discharge or anything like that. The pessary clears it up within a couple of days.

another option is to use diprobase ointment which helps if the skin is just sore.
