Ovulation pains

i track my periods on an app and every month about a week before ovulation I become really dizzy, then a few days before I get bad pains, it changes from one side to the other side and I can feel it across my lower stomach. It’s almost like bad period pains? I’ve had a sharp pain in my side today and it’s so painful. Ovulation is 100% worse than my period, i know some people do get painful ovulation but it just doesn’t seem right. Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Yes! The GP prescribed me pain killers to take during that time.

I used to get these. Eventually I saw an acupuncturist and she sorted me out in about 4 sessions. No idea how it worked but it did.

The changing side of pain is to do with which ovary is going to release the egg each month. I had a fertility check and I could see on the scan- she showed me the follicle that had the egg and said that I was ovulating from that follicle that month..which was the side I'd been feeling a twine on. It shouldn't be extremely painful though.

The weird thing is, it switches sides on the same month. I’ve been in pain with my right side most the day and then later in the day its tender to press on my left side and my right feels ok! Very strange.. I’ll be sure to ring the docs x

@Asst any updates on here? currently have the same yesterday felt burning stingy feeling in right ovary area and today it's on the left side? also should add i'm cD11 and tend to normally ovulate closer to CD14 or 15...so that is also weird..
