Best contraceptive pill for a teenager

14 yr old with unmanageable painful periods who also gets diarrhea and just feels awful. We have decided we need to try the pill so she doesn’t suffer as much. GP calling tomorrow and think they want to give myceogynon but have read there are low dose pills so not sure if a newer one maybe better? There is a history of breast cancer in family so I do worry and would want to minimise risks as much as possible

Speak to the GP, they’d have the most up to date knowledge hopefully.
Sorry, I don’t know, my dds are on rigevidon (think that’s how it’s spelt?) but we don’t have BC history, I reckon the GP will
be more helpful than me 😂

DD14 is on Rigevidon for period management, but we just accepted the recommendation of the nurse practitioner, so didn't research any alternatives!
