Just started to have this problem within the last 3/4 months. Im 31 and have never really suffered with constipation before but tonight has been awful, I was really starting to panic as had a half in half out situation and I just didn’t think it was going to shift 😭 sorry to be graphic.
It feels awful down there now and I had some bright red blood on wiping so pretty sure I’ve given myself a fissure.

I suffer from health anxiety and of course my mind is starting to race tonight.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with a prolapse and at this time of month my cervix is lower than ever so I didn’t know whether this would be having an impact (quite literally!)

I also suffer with painful ovulation and very heavy periods, my mum had endometriosis and I’ve been suspicious of it for a few years myself now. I seem to be in some sort of discomfort all month round.

On Monday I’ll be ringing my GP for an appointment but just wondering if anyone could:

  1. Reassure me ….. and
  2. Share any advice to help with constipation.

Thankyou!

It's quite normal to be constipated before your period and then everything loosens up again when it arrives. It's just hormones doing their thing.

I understand that, it’s just the fact that I’ve never really suffered with it before.

It all feels a bit strange down there this morning 😢
