H,
Just wondering if there's anyone in a similar situation. A few weeks ago I had chest pain ( thought it was indigestion), next day breathless. Admitted to hospital as tropinin elevated.

Cardiologist can't find anything so has discharged me but in left with back pain when I walk more than 10 minutes.

Gp refering for scan of spine but I still feel it's my heart.🤷

How high was the troponin?

Have they done an MRI?

HeliotropeSachet · 13/09/2024 16:18

I'm not a doc, but I have to say that I'm not sure how the cardiologist "couldn't find anything." It's not my place to frighten you, but you can have a heart attack with a normal ECG. I don't understand why chest pain + elevated troponins would not lead to an angiogram.

Heartattack41 · 13/09/2024 20:48

Oh I did have an angiogram, echo and MRI all showing normal. Tropinin around 200

Not bad but a pain in my back if I walk up hill or more than half a mile.

Great you had an MRI. Was worried you would say you had been discharged after a 30 second ECG. Cardiac investigation for women can be terrible.

Possibly worth asking about any possibility of myocarditis, though should have shown on MRI.

Get them to investigate the troponin, even non-cardiac causes.

Just came across this post. Ive had the same issues over 3yrs! Elevated troponin between 15 - 24, cant find any cause.

Heartattack41 · 27/07/2025 19:34
