Hey ladies.

Looking for advice. I'm looking to switch up my contraception. I'm 33 and have PCOS. I've been on everything except the coil. Currently have the implant but I feel awful on it. My periods are regular as clock work too. The worst is the migraines I'm having. I've only started rhes in the last couple years on the pill came off was fine implant in last year and they started again. I need contraception as I'm in a fairly new ish relationship and neither want kids but have said if it happens it happens. We do use condoms but I like to be protected too. Anyone got any good suggestions? I'm going to ring my GP this week but I feel aswell with PCOS not everyone is educated so doctors are just throwing different contraceptives at me xxxx

What pill are you on? I get migraines too and I can't take the combined pills that have the standard 30mg of oestrogen as it makes them even worse, but I can take the pills that have the lower 20mg of oestrogen and that doesn't make them any worse. I was on Loestrin 20 for years before they discontinued it, I was gutted. After that I was on Millinette until I came off it to TTC. Intend on going back on that once I'm ready post-partum.

I am on the implant now. I used to take the combined pill before and I had rigevidon, microgynon 30 and I've had ovranette too. I was thinking of rhe mini pill but not sure if it caused migraines or not. Xxx

I’ve got the Mirena coil for endo and I’ve had a really good experience with it. I had an awful time with the pill but nothing bad with the coil! My gynae said the hormonal impact is much lower since it’s going directly where it’s needed.

It also lasts 5 years and I don’t need to think about taking a pill every day which is fab if you’re forgetful like me 😆
