Hi. I had this done 5 days ago following years of heave periods and clotting. I was told I was too young for a hysterectomy (I’m 48 & a single mother of 3). I was told we should try EA first. So I agreed.
I have a high pain threshold but was told to take pain killer when I got to the Outpatients department. I was given a local anaestetic but the pain was so bad I was also given gas and air but I could still feel everything. The proceedure lasted over an hour. Was given a cup of tea and a bisucuit and told to go home.
I came home and have been bed bound since with no energy to do anythjng.Yesterday I called 111 as I couldn’t get through to my GP. I have not had much bleeding at all but I have really painful lower stomach pains and my belly has swollen and is rock solid. I was told to go into hospital and fair play was taken straight to the gynea department. My blood pressure was really low and they were concerned about my stomach pain so I have a scan booked for Thursday. Bloods were taken too.
I am a very active person and hate being like this and it is getting me down by now. They also gave me codeine to help ease the pain.
Anybody else suffered the same? I have gained about 7lbs in weight too. Thank you.
