My periods are fairly regular, every 4-5 weeks. My last one started on 14th August and finished on 18th August. I'd say it was slightly shorter than usual.
On 29th August i had some slight brown discharge. This continued on 30th and 31st August. However when I did a poo I would pass fresh blood out of my vagina.
Sunday 1st September the amount of blood increased. Today it appears like an average period, although it's bright red. There are no clots. I'm worried sick as I haven't experienced anything like this before. I will make an appointment to see my GP in the morning.
I have a mild discomfort in my tummy but not sure if it's anxiety. I'm 41. Definitely not pregnant and not had sex.
Can anyone offer me any advice or reassurance please?
