Hi all, it's my first time posting on here and I'm in desperate need of answers from people who may have gone through something similar.
In April this year I had a colonoscopy and since then my life hasn't been the same. I have stage 4 endometriosis and I am awaiting surgery. I had a colonoscopy to rule out anything sinister, however during the colonoscopy I felt the most excruciating pain I have ever felt and passed out from the pain during the procedure. When I came round I woke up to the same pain and I have had the same constant pain in the top left of my abdomen just under my ribs every since. There is no let up from the pain and the oramorph isn't touching it. I can't sleep, I can't eat properly and it's turned my life upside down. I have been to A&E numerous times but get sent home and told to take pain killers. I have had 2 CT scans to check for a perforation that came back clear and the team who carried out the colonoscopy have said it's nothing they have done and have said it's my endometriosis, however, I didn't have this pain before the colonoscopy. I've researched so much but cannot find anything to online to show why I would still be in this much pain 6 months later. I can no longer go for walks with my family, pick up my children and live the normal life I was living before this. I'm hoping to find someone who has been through something similar that could share any information.
Thanks in advance
