Endo for ages. Been trying to TTC but am having a break while waiting for a hospital referral so have started hormonal contraception. I have just started my first period since starting contraception and omg the pain!! And it’s so clotty - I have had several that are about marble size. Anyone else experienced similar??? Despite the Endo my periods were always quite light so I’m a bit surprised. I won’t lie, I’m freaking out a little bit.

Sounds like a typical endo period to me x

It’s very unusual for me - and I thought contraception was supposed to help!

Doesn’t sound typical endo to me and in any case it’s not typical for you, so not unreasonable to ask health professionals.
What type of hormonal contraceptive do you have? I had odd periods on the coil and did also get pregnant on it - although ectopic so was really painful and unusual bleeding. Cysts are another problem with endo so although it might be your body reacting or adjusting to the contraceptives, I would suggest getting looked at.
