Abdominal pain and borderline ca125

Have been having abdominal pain, lower back ache on and off for 18 months. Last year had blood tests that all came back normal and doctor said it was likely IBS.

last couple of months seems to have really flared up again and different GP referred me for a CT scan and more blood tests. Scan was only yesterday so no results yet but phone call from doctor to say ca125 was borderline high (can’t remember the number was a bit flummoxed during the call) and she also said my thyroid results came back abnormal but wants to redo these in 4 weeks.

Wishing I’d pushed things more last year but the symptoms are very IBS like and can flare for a few weeks and then calm down. I’ve just had about 8 weeks of bad symptoms, pain, on and off bloating and constipation (which can quickly turn to needing to go urgently) and then last couple of weeks very few symptoms at all. Typically following todays phone call my abdomen is more painful again so finding it hard not to hyper focus on every body sensation.

I know all I can do is wait for the CT scan results but am spiralling a bit to be honest.
