Menstrual cup question

started using organicup, getting on fine with inserting & taking out, no leakage etc
but I feel a bit achy internally from it, I can’t really describe it, I have had it before when I’ve had long periods and I’ve been wearing tampon after tampon for a few days in a row, it’s like my muscles down there are tired of being stretched out or something (not that I’m that small or anything, had c sections but did go into labour on first and ended up having an emergency)
is this normal? Or do I need to find a softer cup maybe? I think it might be pushing on my bladder too as I’m needing to wee a lot more.

any advice or recommendations appreciated!!

I would try a softer cup. I do think there is a bit of trial and error with menstrual cups which is a shame as they are not cheap and it’s not as if you can return them. I have a menstrual disk which I find much softer and easier to use. So much better for for you and the environment though

Sounds like it needs to be pushed higher up? I use a moon cup but can only feel it if it's a bit too low. It has occasionally irritated my bladder then too.

Never had pain from a cup.
Ref irritation probs you need to go a lot as you're not properly voiding as the cup is getting in your way. I struggled to use the loo with the cup in and even had a burning pain sometimes. Switched from Mooncup to Saalt Soft Small size and it's a lot better.

Thanks all, will look into a softer cup but try placing this one a bit higher in the meantime

I found this when I started out using cups. I am sure some of it is down to refining technique.

I have 2 now. A larger stiffer cup
for heavier days and a softer one for lighter days.
