Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had the same and had a positive outcome.
I recently went to my GP regarding the below symptoms. I had a full blood count down which came back my CA125 level was raised to 52 so my gp has referred me for a urgent scan.
My symptoms are:
Super heavy periods (not painful only heavy on day 1 and 2)
Feeling tired and drained (they did say my b12 was low)
A few bouts of diarrhea (they said could be ibs)
I am waiting for my scan date. I am absolutely petrified. I am a mom to 2 beautiful girls aged 4 and 5 months old and all I can think about is not being there. I suppose I'm just looking for reassurance during this awful time

It's scary to get that result, and to be sent for an urgent scan, but try to hang in. A high CA125 isn't a diagnosis of ovarian cancer in itself. It can rise for many reasons including endometriosis, your period, and ovarian cysts.

I know it's difficult, but try not to go to the worst case scenario. You definitely did the right thing by going to the GP, now take it one step at a time and wait for the results.

Sending good wishes.
