Black spot/ mole on my nipples, help! Pregnant

slightly mortified to be sharing this but I’m worrying and need a second opinion and won’t be able to speak to a doctor until tomorrow ..

I’ve just noticed two new black spots/ moles on my nipple area. One is a weird shape and naybe 1mm or so in size, the other is slightly smaller and round. They are both dark black.

I’m 25 weeks pregnant. I don’t know if it’s related or what.

any similar experiences or any ideas what they are?

I got a couple of these in both my pregnancies. Slightly lighter though. My moles are never that dark so was normal ‘mole’ colour for me. Not sure what they actually were. Im not convinced they are actual moles.

Weirdly I actually just scratched the first one half off by accident in the shower by catching it with a nail. Then just realised I could scratch/pull them off. 😵‍💫

I am not recommending you to do that!

But I did, they never came back and I’m alive years later.

Hi @InfernoRose yes I managed to get a gp appointment the next morning (excellent service I have to say) they said it was pregnancy related and I’d drive myself mad if I studied every skin change in such detail during pregnancy (which is easier said than done!)

@PigeonLady are you quite a moley person too? I’m covered so wondering if we’re more disposed

Not really. I would say more a skin taggy person.

My breast have done a lot of weird things since becoming pregnant / BF though.

I have asked on MN, midwives, GPs, various weird things and they are never really concerned about them. But you should absolutely get things you noticed checked. Just try not panic it anything sinister. Your breasts will do weird things during first pregnancy and breastfeeding.

It did really interest me. It’s a stage of breast development. They don’t actually develop to this stage until you childbear. So consider it a second puberty where weird things do happen.
