Hi
I've seen gp recently for a range of symptoms I'm struggling with.
My bloods have come back with some areas marked a abnormal but not concerned. My ultrasound is showing as normal ovaries and womb. I have symptoms including irregular and missed periods, significant sweats before period, boobs leak milk before period, facial hair, excess weight around tummy, significant anxiety week prior to period, spotty, can't sleep for a week around period.
Does anyone have any experience of this and can offer any guidance. Hmm

Hi, sorry to hear you're having all this, no fun.
As far as PCOS goes, I've had ultrasounds showing cysts on ovaries, then another with no cysts. My bloods have never been conclusive, but I definitely have PCOS! I've been fobbed off by doctors before but found someone who would listen eventually. This GP said the cysts can come and go and the symptoms are still there, so keep pushing to be seen and discuss your symptoms. Unfortunately it's hard to treat but there are things to help the symptoms.
Best wishes

I have PCOS, diagnosed via blood tests and symptoms but I also had nothing show on the scan. For anxiety and just overall how I feel I really recommend the balance tonic by Rheal Superfoods, I’ve been taking it well over a year now and feel awful if I stop, which is how I felt before! Facial hair, if your hair is very dark and your skin type is pale laser hair removal is very effective, you have to keep it up though. It only works on certain skin types and hair unfortunately but I would recommend visiting a salon and then keep on top of it at home with a Philips lumea, some women have the Phillips lumea and manage to do it on their own without a salon. I went to a salon first and was lasered everywhere, I top it up at home myself. As for the weight, I have the same issue though I do find I notice a difference if I go for an evening walk after dinner, cut back on carbs and anything like fizzy drinks / alcohol etc. I went on an all inclusive holiday and put on 1.5 stone in a week! My husband ate more and put on 4lbs. I didn’t overeat but I ate whatever I wanted 🤣

I have PCOS. The "cysts" are just a symptom so they can come and go. The scan is just a snapshot of one time so doesn't necessarily mean it isn't PCOS. Read NICE guidelines, if in UK join Verity which is the PCOS charity, try to cut down on sugar and stress. Sleep is important too.
