Excruciating pain when bloated

Nonstopbloated · 13/08/2024 20:56

I get so often bloated and I suffer from shocking excruciating pain all over my abdomen, at my back, inside my bum, even I can hardly breathe.
This can last for long hours but the pain is really impossible to bear.
Is this normal in Peri?
I read that people get bloated and can fart up to 70x per day, that would me once the bloating goes.
Anyone suffers the same? This is now really getting ridiculous as I can’t even walk or move.. just lying stretched on sofa and screaming in pain..
Husband doesn’t believe me, thinks I imagine that.

Doesn't sound like peri to me. Maybe gallstones or IBS, diverticulitis. Book a GP appt asap for tests.

If you're screaming in pain, call 111. Ignore your husband.

I would definitely book an appointment with the doctor asap.

I have these symptoms and was sent for a CT scan - I’m awaiting the results.
I would get it checked out to be on the safe side.

Screaming in pain is not normal although I have read about people thinking they are having heart attacks and it's wind. However, I have had IBS for years and never once screamed in pain so I would def see your GP. I hope you get sorted out quickly as it doesn't sound fun.

I've had this, but well past menopause.

The doctor said, ovarian cancer, gallstones, IBS.

Ovarian cancer was quickly ruled out by a quick and easy bloodtest. Gallstones involved an ultrasound scan, and IBS was given treatment to relax the muscles, as well as being vigilant with diet.

Gallstones were detected by scan - all the other abdominal structures were normal. IBS treatment did nothing.

I am now going down the route of gallbladder removal surgery, with cocodamol to deal with the pain.d

This all kicked off in the last 3 - 4 months.
