Noresthisterone to change cycle

I’m going away for 3 weeks in December and would rather not have a period whilst I’m away. Thinking of taking noresthisterone to delay my period this month to change the week I get my period. I know I could take it whilst I’m away but would be due in the first week so would have to take it for the full week holiday and I know it can come with side effects.

If you’ve taken it before, did your periods come back to a regular cycle straight away? I know the first “period” when you stop taking it can be heavier.

I don’t want to permanently go back on the pill/injection for many reasons.

I took it for a camping trip and it worked fine. Periods went straight back to normal. I did have the mother of all meltdowns a few days after stopping it though. I felt tearful, angry, anxious, depressed and everything in-between! I think it was the hormones settling back down to normal.

Thank you. The possible meltdown and bloating side effects are what’s making me consider taking it now so to move my period rather than just taking it when I go away.

I've taken it a few times with no major side effects. Yes you can use it to delay the period before so that you don't have to take the pills when you're away.
You do need regular cycles for that though.
I'd probably wait a couple of cycles and take it October/November

you could go back on regular pill either combined or progesterone only for a couple of months only then stop, may have less chance of side effects
