Phoned out of hours and recorded message referenced UTIs and basically seeing how it pans out. I'm in AGONY searing burning pain when I pee. Drinking gallons of water and have taken paracetamol. Do I just wait it out?

Find a pharmacy that's open .

Try Superdrug or Asda with it being a Sunday.

Take a urine sample with you , if you can .

You should be able to get antibiotics from a pharmacy.

My sister went to her local minor injury place for a UTI , it was on the list for what they treat and she couldn’t wait as it was a Saturday and she was going away on the Sunday .

I believe pharmacies can give you antibiotics for UTIs now. Supermarket pharmacy should be open...?

I agree with getting something from a pharmacy Canesten or similar? (I'm assuming you're female. This isn't suitable for blokes.) But also - bicarbonate of soda ( baking powder). Have a Google. It balances the acid. Good luck - it usually clears up pretty quickly with the right treatment. I'm not sure that the pharmacy will test urine though. I would try over the counter today and then GP if it doesn't make a difference quickly.

Don't drink too much - you will be irritating your urethra every time you have to pee.

Sit in a warm bath (you can pee in there too it hurts less)

5ml bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water (you can do this 3 times in a day) sorry it tastes like shit...

Ibuprofen helps more than paracetamol so take that as well.

You can get antibiotics from a pharmacy if there is one open near you.

I am the same today. Just done an online consultation with Boots pharmacy. Took 10 mins, 20 mins later a prescription was being drawn up. Can pick up in 2 hours. Costs £23 but means I can get antibiotics today.
Sending solidarity cause it’s fucking horrendous.
