Weird spot on leg

Just looking if anyone else has had anything similar. Have a red spot on my leg for around 5 months, won’t heal and isn’t an ingrown hair. Bleeds if I pick up and it’s redder /browner on the outer. It crusts over but never goes.
going to see a gp next week but just wondered if anyone had similar! It’s not itchy just feels like a lump under the skin.
thanks

Yes. I was covered in these. Head to toe. Some took over a year to heal. All took over four months. I've had experimental antibiotic therapy. Standard antibiotics. Creams. Steroids. Biopsies. This has been going on for years. As a last resort I've just had thirty sessions of light treatment at the local hospital. Currently only got two and it kickstarted all the others healimg. They still don't know what they are.

Ask GP to see you urgently and if they think it looks suspicious they will refer you to dermatology department. I was given antiobiotic cream for mine while awaiting referral, but now it turns out to be fast growing skin cancer and need minor op to remove, so best to take action OP. Really hope yours is not.

Oh really @DuskandDawn have they done biopsy’s to rule out anything sinister ? X

Thanks @Mistlebough , I’ll go tomorrow. Sorry to hear your story, have they said it’s just the op or do you need other treatment ? Was yours on your leg too ? X

They never thought they were sinister. They just have no idea what they are. They are like raised ulcers that didn't heal until I started the light therapy. That said, I've recently been diagnosed with adhd and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which causes poor healing.

I have two of these on my legs, presumed they are some sort of bite refusing to heal. X
