Can anyone recommend any good gummys/tablets that they take to maintain the health downstairs lol

🤔

Georgie743 · 10/08/2024 02:03

What makes you think you need a gummy or tablet for this?!

surely just having a generally healthy diet and washing every day is all you need?

and see a doctor if anything seems strange.

Bekindtoyourselfandothers · 10/08/2024 06:44

I'd never heard of vaginal gummys so I just googled it.
I see it's another health craze promoted on social media that potentially does more harm than good.
I totally agree with the previous post: washing every day with water and a healthy diet is the way to go.

xyz111 · 10/08/2024 07:21

What's wrong with your bits down there?

Riapia · 10/08/2024 08:15

“Miracle Minge” are the gummies that you need.
The blurb on the box says to be used for a “finer vagina”.
😉😁😁

bubblesummerxx · 10/08/2024 09:03

Just to clarify I do wash every day and there is nothing wrong with me lool

I take a probiotic from boots that supposedly supports women's health - supporting good bacteria in the vagina, has cranberry extract to guard against UTIs and vitamin B6 for healthy hormone activity.

Just because people are sceptical about fads promoted on social media it does not make them idiots.
In fact I think it makes them the opposite of idiots.

A good all round probiotic should do the trick. I also like to do a weekly (one night) treatment with a BV gel as I am prone to thrush and BV due to medication I take. This keeps everything in check for me.

bubblesummerxx · 10/08/2024 11:10

Thankyou so much again for actually talking sense I appreciate it
Yes I tend to get thrush to anytime I take antibiotics and I just got prescribed some antibiotics for a insect bite/bug but that I had just incase it was infected because it swelled up quite big and as you can imagine I flared up
I have tried to ask for the BV gels over the counter but they always offer me the thrush pessary instead the tablet that you insert

Keep her clean and tidy and let her have plenty of fresh air from time to time.

You could give her a steam clean once in a while al La Gwyneth Paltrow.

Caution - some women report getting burnt. 😩😂

I’ve attached a video on the vaginal biome that you might find helpful

if you’re wanting to take supplements, in the U.K. some women find Optibac helpful. You could also look at Balance Activ treatments available OTC.
You could also look at taking or increasing probiotics naturally in diet and reducing sugar https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/11-super-healthy-probiotic-foods

SaintHonoria · 10/08/2024 13:00

@over50andfab I know it's not healthy! My post was poking fun at it, hence the comment about women getting burnt from it!

You'd have to be a loon to squat over a bowl of hot water and steam your bits!

Ah good, phew! Unfortunately some women, despite knowing the risks, still do this in the mistaken belief and a cleaner more sterilised vagina is somehow healthier, so just wanted to clarify.

Lemonlily · 11/08/2024 08:27

Optibac! I'm on longterm antibiotics for a bladder issue and they seem to help keep thrush at bay. I also drink kefir.

fatandhappyxxx · 11/08/2024 08:46

You can get probiotics specifically for women that maintain health in the downstairs

You can get the optibac in Holland and Barrett or even Superdrug.

Also my kefir I buy from asda, they do ones that taste abit like yogurt.
