The most awful pain after intercourse!

Sorry if TMI but I just wondered if anyone knows what it could be?
Last night after sex I had the most awful pain in my lower right abdomen. I had no pain during but after it was excruciating. It was like labour pains and sharp pains. I lied down in a ball in bed but it wouldn't go, I sat on the side of the bed with my head between my legs and ended up on the floor on all fours curled up in a ball waiting for it to pass. It eventually got better but left a dull ache. I was terrified to move but eventually got back in to bed and went to sleep.
I honestly thought I was going to have to take myself to hospital it was that bad. I got really hot, went pale and felt sick with the pain.
It thankfully hasn't come back but I've had small cramps throughout the day but nothing anywhere near as bad.
I'm definitely not pregnant, I didn't bleed, I'm due to start my period within the next few days but I'm baffled as to what it was. Any ideas?

Lutricia007 · 08/08/2024 22:07

Endometriosis??

Pigeonqueen · 08/08/2024 22:14

Ovarian cyst? You should get checked out.

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 08/08/2024 22:15

Appendicitis?

FaithD · 08/08/2024 22:16

I get this and have suspected endometriosis

rainbowsparkle28 · 08/08/2024 22:17

Not sure what it may be but please get it checked out.

Jakadaal · 08/08/2024 22:17

Sounds similar to my experience with endometriosis. A sharp pain that subsides very slowly but also a very deep pain

LAAAARGHHH · 08/08/2024 22:20

I had this and it was a very large ovarian cyst

Moier · 08/08/2024 22:22

I used to get it all the time with Endometriosis/ PCOS.
Ask to be referred to a Gynecologist.
Hope you get the help you need.

Pashazade · 09/08/2024 06:49

If the pain continues today it could be appendicitis.

itsgettingweird · 09/08/2024 07:51

I get pain there all the time.

I've always assumed ovarian or endo.

I have no uterus or cervix due to adenomyosis and has this pain before the surgery so assumed that because it's still there!

Greengreengrapes · 09/08/2024 12:36

Thank you all for your replies. I don't have any of the other symptoms for endometriosis so I don't think it's that but I do have PCOS so leaning more towards a burst cyst?
I've had twinges and a sharp pains before but nothing as bad as the other night so it worried me a little. Thankfully it seems to have settled, I just hope it doesn't appear again!

I've had something like that once where one hard poke to the cervix was excruciating for a few minutes. It's never happened again though.

Id probably not think much of it until it happens again
