Hello, just wondering how long people are waiting for smear test results (on average) recently? Thanks

Hiya, I’m a smear taker and our lab is giving estimated turnaround times of 2-6 weeks at the moment. Most HPV negative results are coming through to me in about a week, and on average 3-4 weeks for HPV positive results.

Thank you, I'm getting anxious that's all. I'm only two and a half weeks in so could be a while yet.

I had a recent smear on 4th June, results back on the 9th July so waited just over a month. The nurse at the surgery did say it could take up to 8 weeks to hear back though. Easy to say but try not to worry
