Chemist and UTI

On holiday just me and young DD. Started yesterday with a cold itchy throat, blocked nose, headache and achy then in the night woke with what I believe is a UTI, constant need to urinate and stinging when passing water. Chemist today is closed and nearest one open is over an hour away. Local chemist is open tomorrow, can they prescribe antibiotics for a UTI or would I be better of calling 111 in the morning?

In Wales if that makes any difference.

Is it yourself or your daughter?
In England a pharmacist can give antibiotics for a UTI if the patient is a female aged 16 to 65 so it’s definitely worth ringing them in the morning if you fit this criteria.

I’d ring ahead and ask to speak to the pharmacist, they can prescribe the medication over the telephone and then you just need to pop in and collect it. At least that’s how it works in England.
