Just looking for a bit of advice from anyone who can relate, as to whether I should seek medical advice from a GP. I’m almost 40 but right now feeling 50+ and wondering if this is just how it feels getting older!!

Over the last 6 months I’ve been experiencing:

  • weight again (approx 1 stone)
  • severe fatigue
  • aches particularly in my legs
  • bloating and water retention
  • mood swings
  • excessive sweating particularly on my face

Has that been a recent diagnosis for you? And if you, have you been given any medication or advice to help with symptoms?

For thyroid. Simple blood test. Make a GP appointment.
Menopause they can check your bloods but due to fluctuating hormones not always accurate. They usually diagnose on symptoms .. Depends on how evolved your GP practice is. Good luck.
