Coil for awful PMS symptoms?

Hi all, Just wondering what people's experiences are with having the coil. Mostly if it impacted mood and/or heaviness of periods.
I've been to the doctor today because I'm suffering the whole month! I feel really ill during ovulation for a week, then I'm so irritable, anxious and angry for 2 weeks then I have a painful, heavy bleed for a week and repeat! I'm fed up with it😕

The docs recommended the coil for the period aspect and sertraline for the mood aspect. I can not take the combined pill and the last mini pill I tried gave me awful symptoms.

Anyone been in a similar situation? Anyone used anything that's helped with either aspect?

Many thanks xx

Bleeding waaaaay less than before, but not less days. Hoping its gonna stop the periods all together but have to give it time to see if it will happen.
Otherwise have no side effects tho like the ones u get with the pills.
Ovulation not as painful but still feel the "symptoms" - morning sickness nausea feeling..
Ive put the coil because i have chronic pelvic pain.. like period pain type in ovaries daily.. last month havent felt like my ovaries hurt, just in the middle (uterus i guess).. so maybe going in good direction

The copper coil gave me horrendous PMT. It might be different with the Mirena though.

It was absolutely life changing for me. It stopped my 12 day long periods entirely. I’m no longer constantly exhausted.

I still get terrible stomach cramps though (I have suspected endometriosis and also lotta of scar tissue from my cesareans).

It just made we want to bite anyone’s head off. The video vivid nightmares all gone now.

As soon as it was out 4.5 months later. Relief.
May have bleed 14 days post removal but never up there.

my Mum never wanted me to have it.
Towards end of the coil I was having to take the pill too.
