Hello,
I'm 5 weeks postpartum & sure I'm ovulating already 😩
Since I had children my ovulation & period symptoms for a lot worse. In the week leading up to ovulation I always get bad body aches, radiating from my back into my thighs and lower chest, does anyone else get this? Ibuprofen helps slightly x

I’m 50 now and probably very peri menopausal but since I came off the pill a few years ago, I really suffer in the week leading up to ovulation. I feel bloated and nauseous and generally unwell. Bizarrely I also get really heavy, achey legs.
These symptoms start about a week after my period, they get gradually worse over about 5-7 days then they suddenly disappear. Exactly two weeks after they disappear my period starts.
Ovulation for me is much worse than a period.

Not like what you describe but when it’s my right ovary I get cramping pain on that side right by my hip.

It’s genuinely uncomfortable and I’m always surprised as you never really hear about it much.

Yes! It started after I had DC2 a year and a half ago.
I did some googling and there are some posts on Reddit calling it "period flu" or "ovulation flu".
Unfortunately, no one seemed to know the cause of it but at least we're not alone I guess! I genuinely thought something was wrong with me the first few times it happened as the aches were so painful, especially in my hips and arms.
