Mirena coil removal

I had my Mirena coil removed almost 4 months ago, I didn’t have it in long. I have spotted (sometimes heavier) every day since the removal and have to wear liners every day. I spoke to the nurse at my GPs at around 3 months and she said it can just take a while for your body to adjust, but it seems like it’s never going to stop! Has anyone had a similar experience after the coil removal?

Can I ask why you had it removed ?

I just couldn’t bear waiting for it to settle and bleeding/spotting every day. I was also put on the continuous pill after removal. Just doesn't seem normal!

Do you were bleeding with it as well as once removed ?
I had mine removed but that's because I came out in an allergic reaction which I'm convinced was the coil even though the doctors say that's highly unlikely.

If you're on the mini pill now then it will most likely be that as many people have months of spotting before it settles down

It will be the mini pill causing the spotting, I'd have thought. It can take 3-6 months to settle, but maybe it just doesn't suit you.
