Cancer referral happening fast

As the title says, I had a scan last week Wednesday of my uterus including transdermal Thursday I had a call from the doctor advising me of an urgent cancer referral, Saturday a call from the local cancer specialist department. Tomorrow I have an appointment 😳 the lining of my womb was over double what it should be and now I'm freaking out. I can't sleep as I'm worried naturally, yes I'm pleased it's being dealt with so swiftly but my god in less than a week I'm going to be seeing a specialist. Words of encouragement/experience welcome.

Hoping all is ok for you! Xx

@rockingbird think mine took 6 weeks to come through the pathology services are overwhelmed so everything is taking longer. Fingers crossed for you.

Fingers crossed OP. Different cancer but awaiting following up scan. I try and see any investigation as an exam you've already sat.

So,you don't know the outcome but there's nothing you can change now so no point worrying about the results and losing sleep. No point looking up anything on the paper (googling), or ruminating about 'failing'. Plus, with any luck the result might be great.

Sounds a bit facile but if you take a minute to take yourself back to leaving the exam hall, it actually helps.

Have you got the NHS app ? My last test results where there a few days before I heard from the doctors.
