I’m 43 and my periods are regular in that my cycle varies though from 24-27 days, here I am on holiday and my period hasn’t started and I’m on day 29. Does heat/weather, of course a different diet on holiday too affect your period cycle?

Stress can...and I find going on holiday quite stressful in terms of the lead-up.

From my 20s I've noticed that the period after a holiday is affected...twice I skipped it altogether, one I had two in a month. Similar often happens in January after a stressful, busy December.

So yes...holidays can affect periods but what I will say is that you'll generally get your period 14 days after you ovulated. So it may be that ovulation was later this month?

"what I will say is that you'll generally get your period 14 days after you ovulated. So it may be that ovulation was later this month?"

That's a good point.
My last period was late so I suppose I ovulated late. I don't generally feel when I ovulated, but I can usually tel when I've just past it so I guess that's a sign.
My other question is - if someone usually has PMT running up to their period, logically it would just kick in later, but with last period I just got the impression the PMT time just went on and on. Now I'm at the start of perimenopause the PMT is much worse, back to what I had as a teenager.

Yes I feel like I’ve had PMt all holiday although it might be the 33 -34 degree heat and grumpy kids that’s causing it. Every so often I feel I’ve started and then it doesn’t. Had a massage and DH and I had sex yesterday so was hoping today might be the day, although we fly back tomorrow so actually if it could hold off another couple of days!

im not on any hormonal contraception.
