Mirena coil weight gain

I got the mirena coil inserted in March for pelvic pain and endometriosis. My weight has been the same for the past 3 years and since having it I have gained nearly a stone in weight!! I spoke to doctor about it and they told me it's not possible...then how has my weight gone up so dramatically, its no coincidence!

The coil is helping my pain and has stopped my periods which is great but the weight gain is really getting me down when I had a steady weight prior to its insertion.

Yep. 2 stone in under a year. I’d always been pretty slim at 5ft 9 and 10 stone. I ended up a couple of stone heavier and felt awful I also had the disadvantage that it never helped my periods, if fact I was bleeding or spotting every day and had to beg for months to get it removed. It was hell.

Horrible thing (in my experience) also had to beg to get it out. Awful dragging pain nearly every day from it. Also weight gain and bloating.

I wanted to have it removed within a week of having it in, it was like I could feel it inside me very uncomfortable sensation but the doctors told me to give it more time. Now this extra weight and I can't afford to be gaining as I am already overweight by about a stone. None of my clothes fitting me and its summer:( think I am going to schedule to get it taken out
