Hi, is anyone here waiting for a hysterectomy?

Yes, I am.

I have a failed uterine ablation, adenomyosis and endometriosis. I don’t like my uterus very much and would be more than happy to rip it out myself but am currently on a year long wait with the NHS!

I am having a hysterectomy on the 19th August, but it’s been cancelled once so I don’t know if it’s gonna get cancelled again

I am also waiting for a total hysterectomy due to pre cancerous changes.
Was booked in for September but now has been changed to October.
Am dreading it but it has to be done.

I had a open one. 12 inch scar. Didnt have any pain after. Was home the next day. Was in a tiny bit of pain day 3, constipation but otherwise fine. By day 6 was moving just fine!

That sounds like a great recovery! I keep reading accounts of complications and pain going on for months.
I'm hoping for a robot assisted procedure.
