HELP!! Nose filler feels like its gone wrong!

Hi everyone, i had a liquid rhinoplasty done (dermal filler in the nose) and i feel like a vein in between my eyebrows has swollen up..

I had this done years ago before but from another place and i did not have this happen to me at that time (i couldnt do it again this time from there because they have tripled their prices)
I decided to try a different clinic this time where she injected the filler in the tip of my nose and then alittle above my nose bone for the dorsal hump and as soon as she finished i noticed the lump in between my brows.
I asked her why that is there and that it feels like it is throbbing and she kept saying its just trauma from the injections and that she didnt use the needle there and insisted it will go away within two weeks.

Its now been 4 days and the lump is still there and it hurts when i press it and it feels like its a part of the vein that runs down the middle of my forehead. I am scared and feel like crying because she charged me £250 and she is not helping at all.. i am worried that she is going to charge me another £150 to dissolve it when it isnt my fault but hers!
I even messaged her when i got home as it felt like my eye was going to explode and she was being very defensive saying its normal and i need to give it a few weeks etc. Etc.

Please can someone advise me on what to do?? Will i be able to get a refund or atleast get her to dissolve it for free since she was the one who made the mistake? Should i be panicking? Please someone help me 😭 the left side of my head is also hurting

Why are u not going to the doctors or a&e what if shes done something that she shouldnt...can never trust anyone anymore ...

Billyballyboo · 15/07/2024 14:04

Please tell us it was a qualified doctor who did it rather than a beautician? Call your GP or 111 asap. If you genuinely feel your eye is exploding, A&E. She might have injected in the wrong place.

You need medical attention.

AttackMeleys · 15/07/2024 14:14

Haven't you asked a doctor?! Go, you need this sorting.

OrlandointheWilderness · 15/07/2024 14:20

Please go and get medical attention, we can't give you an informed opinion over the internet and we aren't doctors.

@Billyballyboo @Somerandomgirl @AttackMeleys i have messaged a doctor this morning (she owns an aesthetics clinic but is a qualified medic) she has asked for pics and i am just waiting for her reply. I contacted another one who is a midwife nurse as well and she didnt seem cobcerned but did say it looks more like the filler has been injected incorrectly and that i should get back to the lady who did it and see what she says... which i just did and this was her response (the lady who did the filler):

"Hi without being rude I'm a level 7 qualifier aesthetic practitioner also aesthetic training instructor I don't take advice from midwife's etc but please feel free to come in salon I can look at you and trauma from injection points is a common practice as putting needles in any area of your body can cause trauma however this is why we have a healing stage , I'm always here for aftercare x"

So you got it done by a beauty therapist! Lesson learned for next time to go to a proper cosmetic doctor. In the meantime, please see a proper doctor to get it checked asap. Also, really not sure what you expected from a midwife ffs.

You need medical attention OP.

bergamotorange · 15/07/2024 17:53

You need to go to see a doctor. Absolutely pointless asking a midwife.

And don't let beauticians inject you in future.

MochaBear · 15/07/2024 17:56

@Billyballyboo @bergamotorange the midwife is also an aesthetic practitioner she does both midwifery and then the aesthetics part time thats why i messaged her. I would have got it done by her but she was fully booked during the week i wanted it doing. She isnt just a random midwife i contacted lol why would anyone do that??

As for this beautician, i got her qualifications mixed with another as i was looking at so many clinics. I only realised she wasnt after i had paid my deposit which was £90 and on the day of my appointment she had posted on her FB hoe she had just completed her level 7 course in aesthetics etc.
So i was stuck because i didnt want to lose my deposit 😭
