Pain from hysteroscopy

I had an hysteroscopy on Monday. A biopsy was taken. They attemped to remove a polyp but was unsuccessful.

I was fine when I got home. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable but no pain. It's been like that til Friday when I started to experience mild cramping. Fine yesterday, but today the pain has ramped up. Still manageable but feels like bad period pain.

Has anyone experienced this afternoon a hysteroscopy? I'm concerned I might have an infection or something.

3 weeks after hysteroscopy I got treated for PID.

Sorry they could not remove a polyp - the only thing a surgeon a few minutes before the procedure remained confident of was getting rid of this over a fibroid, through hysteroscopy. Wished I’d run from the hospital they no longer send patients… can’t think why.

Months later tried HRT - wish I’d started on this from Jan 23. Joint stiffness gone, strange abdo sensation gone. All these gynae’s who reckon there for women. Please stop putting the coil in women where it is no use.

@Ladymuck2022 thanks for your post. What's PID?

@ElTortilla i couldn't stand up straight for a week after my hysteroscopy D&c.

But I have prolapses and doctor said he probably pulled everything around a lot.

I'd go and see GP re risk of infection. My GP would see you the same day for that.

Hi @Droolylabradors. Thank you for your post. The pain has calmed mostly now thank goodness. It's such a horrid procedure.
