Endometrial ablation

I'm heading into hospital soon for this procedure. I was feeling absolutely fine but now I'm waiting for the admission time, I am starting to freak myself out. I'm having a general and last time I had anaesthetic for my laproscopy, I was really sick and had low BP. Think I'm more concerned about that than the procedure itself. Has anyone gone through this and has any advice or experience to share?

Used to study this. Talk to anaesthetist about your concerns. Shouldn't be under for long.

I had my ablation under a local but my sister had an op recently and was petrified as she too was as sick as anything after her last GA so this time they gave her anti sickness meds and she was fine.

Good luck op, hope it goes well.

Definitely speak to the anaesthetist, as they can give you anti-sickness meds. I hope it goes well and you make a full recovery.

I'm 59 now but had an endometrial ablation at 46, which put an end to my torrential bleeding completely.
I had mine under light GA and was eating a sandwich an hour later
Please don't worry, you will be visited by the anaesthetist beforehand and they will discuss the procedure
They can also give you an anti sickness injection.

Two of my friends had it under general. Both minimal downtime and really pleased with the outcome.

Had mine in November.. absolutely the best thing I have done.

I am finally not anemia for the first time in nearly 30years

Thanks so much for the reassurance and kind words. Saw the anaesthetist and he is going to give me anti sickness.
I should be taken down in the next half hour. Hopefully all will be well.

Theatre manager been through now and they are running significantly late so I may not even be taken today. Not a disaster if that's the case, but I had geared myself up. It it is not happening today, I am going to go out for a nice dinner instead!

Just reporting in incase anyone else has a similar question.
Peocedure went ahead, I'm feeling pretty good. Bit crampy but nothing major and prob wouldn't even take a paracetamol for it. So far so good.
