TW: Blood

I had my baby just over 2 months ago via EMCS,
I am now experiencing what i feel to be my first actual period.
It started on Friday, i am now on day 3 and my blood is bright red & a very watery consistency rather than mucusy like periods normally are.
The pain is quite sore as-well but nothing i’m not used to as I suffer with heavy & painful periods anyway.

I called 111 just now & they said they would get a Dr from my practice to call me back tomorrow, but there is a part of me that is still worrying, but I’m absolutely petrified and do not want to go to the hospital.
I had this type of bleeding when i was in ‘labour’ which turned into an EMCS very fast hence why im terrified of going to the hospital due to trauma.

But i am just wanting to know if anyone else experienced the same.

My first period again was the exact same. It was heavier and much brighter than normal. I’m 4months pp and they now feel like they are returning to normal.

Thanks for your response.
This is quite reassuring, it's just so hard knowing what to expect.
The last time i experienced this bleeding was the night i got rushed into theatre to have my son, so it brings back a lot of trauma.

Im booked in to speak to the GP tomorrow so hopefully they will know more of what's going on! X
