Looks like a very normal mole to me!

ButtSurgery · 03/07/2024 21:42

It's not even close to black. Looks like a normal mole in that picture, but if it's new, bleeding or uneven get it looked at.

TheShellBeach · 03/07/2024 21:43

Is it new, OP? Or has it appeared out of nowhere?

Safa2 · 03/07/2024 22:04

It’s new iv never seen it before I hope it is just a mole my health anxiety tells me other wise I hate feeling like this 😣

It’s not uneven it’s round and small and not itchy or anything

Looks like a very normal mole to me OP, but I also have health anxiety so understand your worry. I've been in a few times to get completely benign skin things checked out but it's nice to have that peace of mind. If it make you feel better getting a GP to have a look, go for it x

It looks dark brown, like a normal mole, not black.

I totally understand. I had a similar issue a few years ago, and it turned out to be nothing, but I understand your worry. The best thing to do is to ring the GP in the morning. Google will tell you all sorts, so avoid that!

MidnightMeltdown · 03/07/2024 22:12

Is this a joke?

PerfectTravelTote · 03/07/2024 22:13

It looks perfectly normal to me but no harm in having it checked out to put your mind at ease.

Hopebridge · 03/07/2024 22:13

Are you sure it's not an ingrown hair that's gone sore?

Chipshopninja · 03/07/2024 22:16

Because it's new and raised I would see a GP. They will refer you.

It's probably absolutely fine but should be checked

Safa2 · 03/07/2024 22:18

Thanks ladies I will go to my gp tomorrow thanks xxx

Looks normal to me, I worry terrible over my many moles and had a scare earlier this year over one that was small but two different colours, I was put on the 2 week referral by GP . Got there and the consultant literally rolled his eyes and said absolutely fine. Google had me dead and buried.

Get it checked for your own peace of mind but definitely don't let it keep you awake at night. The consultant said you're looking for "barn door obvious". I'd say yours doesn't fit that description.

Shiningout · 03/07/2024 22:26

I've had multiple moles like that (& bigger) for decades. Never think about them. Nothing to worry about.

Susieblue18 · 03/07/2024 22:55

Could be a dermatofibroma

Why on earth would you think it was a joke @MidnightMeltdown? It's a NEW mole. I don't find that particularly funny🙄

Our doctors allows us to send photos with an online query - if yours does maybe that would save you a trip.
