I had an internal scan 48 hours ago. I am post menopausal and have been having scans for a year due to some slight bleeding.
I have a history of endometriosis.
I take HRT oestrogen and progesterone.
During the scan the practitioner told me an ovarian cyst and a fibroid present 6 months ago are the same size, which I found reassuring.
However yesterday I developed period like stomach cramps. What started with some spots of brown blood, which I have experienced in the past, I’m now passing red blood. It’s not as bad as the periods I used to have but I’m concerned.
Have you experienced this?
My follow up appointment is in 2 weeks at the hospital. If it gets worse I will try and get in touch with my GP which is an uphill battle right now.
