Blood with bowel movement -worrying

I'm 38 and a week ago I went to the toilet and after bowel movement when I wiped there was a bit of red blood (1/4 of a penny )
No blood in toilet or stool
Next day nothing when I wiped
Then today when I wiped there a tiny bit of red blood on tissue.
The last few times when I've done a bowel movement it's been a sharp feeling when passing it (sorry for tmi )
Then afterwards my bottom feels a bit burny and sore and a little itchy.
Anyway I'm worrying obviously
Is this likely to be something sinister ?

Eat more fruit and veg or fibre and drink more water. After a few more bowel movements by mid week you should be fine if it's been a pile that was a bit inflamed.

Still get it checked out obv.

But I have the same symptoms (of stabbing pain, blood and discomfort followed by itching) when I've been eating a poor diet and not drinking enough. I can also feel a little grape thing when I wipe.

I use loo roll, then also use water wipes to keep the area clean after going to the loo. And dry the area with loo paper.

If I up my game it clears up fine though and only comes back if I eat rubbish for too many days in a row again!!

Classic piles

If bright red - lower in bowel.
black or dark upper in bowel.

He had it today. Has a pile and they’ve removed a few polyps for testing results in 2/3 weeks. The doctor thinks nothing to worry about as all looked ok. Hope it’s fine for you too
