5 month period!

Hi , I've been bleeding for 5 months , I've had a pelvic exam and everything came back as normal , I had the implant fitted I came off my period for 2 weeks , I have now come on again ! The doctor has discharged me as my ultrasound has come back normal , I feel miserable being on for so long , what could this be ? Anyone else experienced this ?

Blimey! I had a few six-week periods and my GP put me on Norethisterone to sort it out, which worked brilliantly. The long heavy periods had also made me anaemic so I had to take Ferrous Fumarate for a few months. A couple of things there to ask about maybe.
