Long but light period

Just wondering if this is something to worry about.

I'm late 40s so no doubt perimenopausal. Periods haven't changed at all until this month though. Where they're normally done and dusted in 3 or 4 days, it's been 10 days and I'm still having light bleeding off and on.

Is it ok to just assume this is part and parcel of wonky hormones at my age or should I get it checked out do you think?

Also best to get longer than usual periods investigated, it could be hormones or something else. At least if a scan doesn't show anything they can advise on how to regulate them again.
