I don't know if anyone can help me. I don't know what forum to put it into.
I used to be regular with my periods. About every 28 days sometimes even a little bit longer. Maybe 29/30 days. A few years ago I was stressed and that played havoc and there were a few months with I had 32/33/34/35 day cycles but it settled down again.
Since January of this year my periods has been all over the place.
My period came two weeks early at the end of January. I wasn't expecting it until around about the 11th or the 12th of February. It was so odd. So I had a period in early January and I wasn't expecting another until February but it came two weeks early.
By the 15th of January I was under tremendous stress. My aging mother went berserk, crazy, cookoo. There were two weeks where I hardly slept or ate.
I presumed maybe it was that stress that caused havoc for me.
I didn't know when my next period was going to be. I presumed it might have been the end of February. But I didn't get anything until the 17th of March. 6 weeks. That never happened before for me.
Since then it's been about 5-6 weeks.
I was at the doctor in March and I mentioned it then to her and she said it was PCOS. I am early 40s so I would have presumed it would be perimenopause but she never said peri. She said it will be the other side of 40.
I find it hard to believe it's pcos.
It's been over 4 weeks now since my last period. I really hate things like this because I don't know when it will come or not. I am wearing period underwear just in case the flow starts.
A few weeks ago I googled online. Apparently vitamin D can help regulate hormones so I started taking vitamin D. I stopped taking supplements last autumn due to likely depression. I found it hard to care for myself.
I thought takimg vitamin D might help regulate it but that didn't happen.
I was sick in February with a heavy and long intense headcold which I think could have been COVID possibly but I don't know. I wasn't right for weeks. I wonder if that could have played a part too?
I am 41.
I was on holidays in Europe at the end of January when my period came two weeks early. It was awful. I wasn't expecting it.
