Microscopic blood in urine

I’m early 30s and GP sent me for 2 week wait urology as had blood in my urine. I want to. My period and gp checked 3 samples to make sure. Still had the microscopic blood hence the referral. Had the standard tests they would do for anyone who has blood- cystoscopy and ultrasound of kidneys and bladder. Thank goodness it was all fine and I was automatic discharged. I still have it as handed another sample to GP- who are just like you’ve had the tests so it’s fine. I had to chase up urology for result- spoke to secretary who said all clear, so didn’t get a chance to ask the consultant what it is till have it . And still I have it. Don’t know if I should have further testing ( which gp he already refused) I think it’s more they can’t be bothered / not sure. Has anyone else had this? And if so did the blood just remain ? Or eventually go? Sometimes my anxiety kicks up and I think something must be up why do I have this
Any help would be appreciated

The same thing happened to me. I've had all the checks and it's just one of those things. 18 years after it was first found I still have it. Microscopic haematuria. I believe it's fairly common. Good to get it checked out. Was advised only to go back if visible blood in urine.

@mumsnoangel do you get it regularly dipped then ? Did you have the checks done just once when it was found ? As im
not sure if I’d need to have them again when I get older if I still have it ?
thank you ladies really helpful

You can buy the dipsticks online, I only have one fully functioning kidney and am prone to infections so use them occasionally.

I have seen dipsticks on Amazon , not sure if I want to though as I think I’ll be driving myself insane checking it daily

Hmmm I went through this about 10 years ago. After all the test were had it was decided I just have blood in my urine.
I don't even test, the drs have never asked me back for any more tests, so I'm not bothered.
Bit like I'm always thirsty, after countless tests I'm not diabetic. I'm just a thirsty person, like I'm a person with blood in urine. I also have a tilted cervix, it's the tapestry of life.

I’ve had this too - was concerned and had the tests you have had and all was fine. That was about two years ago. Now even when my urine is checked it’s still there

I have referred loads of people over the years with this. In fact unless there are other clinical features our local hospital makes us send them non urgently. I don't think I ever had one come back as anything serious. I think thats why the guidance changed.

Visible blood was another matter. Frequently picked up an early bladder tumour.

@keeponplodding7 do your gp monitoring /dipping it then ?
thank you all for reassuring x

@S22 Over the years I've just occasionally had my urine checked for example if I've been tested for a UTI, or when I had to have a small op, and they always notice that I have microscopic blood in my urine but I've explained that it's been investigated and they don't seem too concerned

I also tell the gp that it’s been investigated and they also never seem concerned
