Period delay tablets?

Wondering if anybody has tried these before ?
As I'm getting older my periods are becoming very heavy and messy for a good few days (probably on the way to peri) to the point I have to be very careful what to wear. I don't take any hormonal contraception (haven't done since the pill in my early 30s)
Got a lovely holiday coming up and my period is due bang on the day I travel for the whole trip which honestly would ruin it a bit - even with moon cups and period pants etc. I've unpacked my favourite white trousers and light coloured summer dresses from my suitcase 😂
Friend just told me about Superdrug online where you can buy a hormonal delay medication, so I've quickly
ordered some. Obviously filled in the health q first and checked my bp as I have a cuff at home and it's all gone through ok.
Has anyone used this delay medication? I feel a bit weird about it tbh and I track my periods very carefully so it'll be weird if they change but honestly the thought of dealing with a period on a flight and in swimwear etc is filling me with dread. although I know they should only be delayed by a week.

Yes I have and use the odd occasion something clashes. You just need to take it 3 days before your period is due and then 3 times a day which I can struggle with remembering!
I had no side effects and has worked for me well in the past. Period is about a day or two after stopping.

I recently ordered 10 days worth of Norethisterone to take as I was due on during my holiday. Same as you, heavier these days and didn't want it to spoil my time!
It says to take them three days before your period is expected, I started them 4 days before as I can be early/late. Worked a treat!

Thanks @AHobbyaweek that's good to know. When I took an oral contraceptive in my younger years I sometimes took a pack back to back but would still usually get some breakthrough bleeding, I wonder if this will be the case here. Still better than a full on blood bath I suppose.

Just to add - no side affects at all and period arrived around a week after stopping them...

Yes, I bought them from Boots. No problems at all, worked exactly as supposed to.

It might not work 100% for everyone but they are not the same drug so it could still work for you.

I don’t have any advice on these just wanted to say you’re not alone as my monthly visitor has been heavy as can be and all my symptoms are stronger lol! What a joy of being a woman! Oh and to add- I get extremely horny while I’m on it as well. What timing :)
