Coil/ implant to help with peri moods?

Evening ladies- I would really appreciate some advice. I am 42 and think I am perimenopausal- no major physical symptoms but cycles are down to 24ish days and periods last about 3 days. Since last August I get my period and then have an episode of irritability, depression and rage; when I look back I have told my husband we need couples counselling, kicked a door off its hinges, had a crying episode in restaurant toilets and ruined a holiday with anxiety- which is all out of character and I now realise is hormonal. I have a telephone consultation with a doctor next Tuesday but I don’t really know what I want to achieve. Apart from the period- induced crazy moods I am absolutely fine so I don’t think it’s time for HRT. I wonder if stopping periods altogether eg with coil/ implant might solve things but I’ve heard mixed reviews about both. I don’t know whether to cancel the appointment and just batten down the hatches for four days every few weeks? The more I research, the more confused I get. Any help/ advice would be much appreciated! TIA
