Hi,
So I have birth to my second at the end of December 2023. This was via an elective section everything well and my recovery was going well until 13 days post partum when I was rushed back into hospital after haemorrhaging and loosing blood like a tap had been turned on along with clots the size of tennis balls.
I was admitted and had two blood transfusions and IV anti biotics then sent home after 3 days on anti biotics as it was put down to an infection and iron tablets for the anaemia.
The bleeding completely stopped around 6 weeks post partum as you would expect.
8 weeks I went back on the cerelle after my check up at the Drs. I went back on the pill and around 20 days later I got what I thought was my 1st period.
I bled for 10 days then stopped for 6 days bled for a further 9 days stopped for 4 days bled again for a further 8 days stopped for 8 days bled for 8 days stopped for 6 days and then pretty much been bleeding ever since.
I have been back to the drs several times now to be told as my tranvaginal scan was all clear 6 weeks after the haemorrhage and there were no abnormalities it's either hormonal as I've been through a lot or break through bleeding from the pill.
It's never been heavy (as in barely shows on a pad, more so when I wipe) I have started wearing tampons purely because the site of blood everytime I visit the toilet is really triggering given what I went through.
The GP has writttn the gynae for advice and guidance but that's all they can offer as they say there was nothing in my bloods or scan indicating any underlying health issues.
Has anyone else ever experienced this after giving birth especially after haemorrhaging because it's really beginning to rule my life. I've carried on with life as normal up until now but now it's really beginning to get me down and I'm aware by stressing about it probably isn't helping at all.
