Rectocele and thrush?

Bit of a TMI topic I'm afraid.

I keep getting thrush. It's doing my head in. In the past year I think I've gad it at least 6 times. I also have a 'mild' rectocele and I'm just wondering if anyone else can tell me if their prolapse symptoms got worse during a thrush infection? I cant tell if it's getting worse or if its the thrush because it feels as though something is coming out of me, but then I know it could be inflamed which is making it feel worse than it is. Any thoughts?

I imagine it's just all hyper sensitive. Have you had the thrush swabbed? I had constant thrush for 2 yrs when I had a mirena coil...not had it for 5 years since it was taken out, i sympathise with you, it's horrendous.

I think inflammation in the area makes everything worse.
The mucous made by the lining seems irritant, so piles causes the whole area to be bad.

Do you think it’s definitely thrush? I was wondering if prolapse interferes with natural lubrication. I use an internal moisturiser and found these thrush like symptoms stopped.

@WonderingWanda yes I've had multiple in the past year. Last one was in Jan and each time came back as 'profuse growth' so it was a big infection. Not been swabbed this time but had all the classic symptoms. The gp has finally put me on a 6 month course treatment plan

@MySocksAreDotty I'm not sure. It does feel 'dry' but also very wet. Its hard to describe lol

Just a bit of an update (if you care 😆) that it seems to be feeling a little better. Less 'heavy' and swollen so fingers crossed my discomfort was thrush exacerbating my prolapse symptoms

Did you get this resolved OP? Going through the same also with prolapse and it’s literally driving me insane!

@KindPombear have been on a 6 month treatment for the thrush for a while. Worth seeing the GP x
