Hormones or something else?

Hello,

I am going through a terribly anxious time and wondering if anyone could help my logical brain start working!

I stopped EBF mid Jan. I have had 5 cycles since then. The first 3 were 28 days apart (albeit heavy and long) and then my hormones appear to have gone BAM!

Pain midcycle, spotting for 5 days before period is due and depression. My newest symptom is that while I am spotting 4 days before period, it is a yucky brown discharge, until I do a poo which causes red blood. Then back to brown spotting.

I have had the following checks - stool sample (mucassy poo), blood tests to rule out inflammation and Thyroid, urine sample, swabs, internal examinations and two internal ultrasounds. I also had a smear in Septemeber 2022 (year and a half ago).

The only thing that has cropped up is my womb changed position. The first scan showed a forward facing womb and then a scan, a month later, showed a backwards facing one. Other than that, everything is clear.

Before I had my beautiful baby girl 10 months ago, I had a stillbirth at 33 weeks which wrecked me and removed my faith in my body. I'm terrified I have something terrible happening.

Anyone got any reassuring words of wisdom? I think I've seen 10 doctors in this time. Anyone else have irregular periods/spotting after stopping breastfeeding feeding? Anyone else experience period blood more so after a poo, brown at other times?

I want to try for baby number 3 (hopefully a 2nd living baby) and I'm scared my depressions and these symptoms will harm me.

Many thanks xx

Hello
If doctors say all is ok just trust them. Worry can change your cycles too! Midcycle pain is ovulation.
Are you on any contraception? That could change things aswell

@AOMum14 so sorry for your stillbirth. I can’t imagine.
I am going through very similar irregular cycles and have the same symptoms as you after weaning from BF and TTC. I wondered how you’re getting on and if your doctor had any advice?

Hey! I got pregnant the month of posting this and I am currently 37 weeks pregnant. I can only assume that all of the symptoms we were/are experiencing are hormonal and don't effect us long term. Good luck with your TTC journey!
