I had a blood pressure check recently for contraceptive pill. The nurse said my blood pressure was slightly high and to come back in two weeks. I've been back twice since and each time it's a little high. Waiting to speak with a doctor, but my appointment is for next week.
The only time I've had high blood pressure was 9 years ago during pregnancy. I'm on the pill, but I know the chance of being pregnant is not 0. I've told the nurse each visit that the only time I've had high blood pressure was during pregnancy. No one has suggested taking a pregnancy test but it's popped into my head that there's a miniscule chance despite the pill. Have no symptoms though. Am I being stupid, is it worth taking a test?
